The "Financial Literacy" Course – A Project Aimed at Reducing Public Debt Burden
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in his Address to the Nation "The Economic Course of a Fair Kazakhstan," highlighted that public debt burden is one of the pressing issues in society. According to him, new systemic measures are needed to address this issue fundamentally. However, the key focus should be on improving citizens' financial literacy.
In this regard, the Higher School of Business at Shakarim University in Semey has launched the "Financial Literacy" course for university faculty as part of the AMANAT Party's "Debt-Free Society" project.
About the Project:
The course is being implemented in accordance with the "Roadmap" for expanding educational initiatives. Its goal is to teach faculty skills in financial planning, effective debt management, and proper personal financial management.
Training Speakers:
- Cand. Econ. Sci. A.K. Ibraeva – certified trainer in financial literacy;
- Cand. Econ. Sci. K.E. Khasenova – leading expert in economics;
- PhD L.B. Gabdullina – experienced specialist in financial and economic education.
Purpose and Significance:
This initiative not only educates participants on the basics of financial literacy but also helps reduce the debt burden of citizens. Conducting such courses for university faculty is a significant contribution to improving the economic and social well-being of the population.
